In the previous version of this lens the coma was corrected quite well. In the corners of an APS-C/DX sensor it didn’t bother us almost at all and in the corner of full frame it was visible but far from bothersome. In the improved version the situation is alike but slightly better.

The first version was characterized by a medium astigmatism level, amounting to 10%. In the new version this aberration is corrected far more effectively – the new Samyang 2.8/14 has the astigmatism at the negligible level of 1%. A standing ovation!
