Sigma 17-50 mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM

30 July 2010
Arkadiusz Olech

10. Autofocus

The focusing mechanism works silently and quickly. Running through the whole scale takes just half of a second, no matter from what end.

When it comes to the accuracy, you can’t have any serious reservations either. In studio conditions the lens missed in 3% of cases on average. We didn’t notice any back-and-forth fine-tuning or losing the focus.

The tested model had a slight front focus tendency but it was corrected easily from the camera body level.
