The predecessor of the tested lens didn’t have any problems with distortion because, within the margin of error, it was zero. In the case of the AF-S Micro 60 mm f/2.8G ED model the situation is more or less the same. On the smaller DX sensor the distortion level is practically zero – the formal result amounts to 0.03% but taking into account the measurement error, which reaches 0.1%, practically we can say there’s no distortion at all.
When we pass to full frame this aberration increases a bit. In that case the value, measured by us, amounts to 0.24% so is officially higher than zero. Still, such a level is so low that the odds in favour of noticing it in real life photos are very slim.
