5. Chromatic aberration

This lens is a quite slow instrument with a short focal length; such devices rarely have problems with the longitudinal chromatic aberration. One look at the photos of our autofocus testing chart, presented in chapter 10, and you know that indeed the Pentax 4/15 deals with this aberration very well.

After looking at the graph below it becomes also obvious that you shouldn’t complain about the correction of lateral chromatic aberration. Overall it doesn’t depend on the aperture value and keeps the border between low and medium level.
