There is no need to go on at length about anything in this summary. The Nikkor AF-S 200 MM f/2G ED VRII is a flawless lens - if you need an instrument with such parameters and you can afford it you shouldn’t hesitate one single moment.

Some people might be surprised that the 2.0/200 VR II is more expensive than the 2.8/300 VR II. Well, it shouldn’t be surprising. Both lenses feature the front element (so the entrance pupil) of a similar size and in such a case the shorter focal length a lens has the more difficult the correction of any optical aberrations is. The number of optical elements is also a factor here – the 200 mm lens has as many as 13 of them whereas the 300 mm device – only 11.
