A full frame 24-70 mm fixed f/2.8 aperture lens is an instrument aimed mainly at professionals which need an all-purpose, fast tool. A tool that will provide an excellent image quality and won’t let you down during many hours of intensive working. Small wonder most of photographic companies, present on the market, strive to offer such a lens, equipping it with the latest technological developments. Looking at the wide selection of such instruments you can notice that, in fact, all the companies have new devices, launched at most just several years ago. It is enough to mention here that the oldest of them, the Nikkor AF-S 24-70 mm F/2.8 G ED, was presented less than five years ago. Two youngest constructions are: the Canon EF 24-70 mm f/2.8 L II USM and the Tamron SP 24–70 mm f/2.8 Di VC USD. The latter seems to be an especially interesting instrument for at least two reasons. Secondly, along with the Sigma 24-70 mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM, so praised by us, it is much cheaper than its brand name competitors, produced by Canon, Nikon and Sony/Zeiss.

These properties make the Tamron worth your interest for sure. A much lower price, joined with other bonuses like the stabilization and a long guarantee period make it a tasty morsel not only for professionals but also for many advanced amateur photographers.
