Tokina AT-X PRO DX 12-28 mm f/4

6. Distortion

At the widest angle of view the distortion is not low. Our measurements show barrel distortion of -2.96%. The best ultra wide-angle lenses have better results here so the Tokina performance is nothing to be proud of. If you want to be honest, though, you have to add that the result is not the worst either; additionally the lens fares very well at the longer focal lengths where the distortion practically doesn’t exist. At 20 mm we got the result of 0.05% and at 28 mm it amounted to 0.26%.
