The astigmatism understood as an average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values amounted to 3.8%; it is a low value. The Zeiss 2/135 had a very similar result – that of 3.5%. The Canon 135L was the best of all in this category as its result amounted to just 1.8%. Once again you should say all those three lenses represent a very even and quite high level of performance.

The blurs provided by the Samyang 2/135 are very pleasing to the eye. It is confirmed by the appearance of defocused light circles which come without any distinct local extremes. The only thing that might make you complain is a significant truncation of the circle in the full frame corner at the maximum relative aperture.
