A slight decentering of the tested Samyang’s optics had to have some consequences when it comes to the results in the astigmatism category. An average result for the apertures ranging from f/1.4 to f/2.8 reaches a quite significant level of 15%. The lens experiences most problems with that aberration by f/2.0 when it increases to a very high level of 25%.

When it comes to the light spread, the defocused light circles look sensibly well. You can have some reservations only about the distinct ‘onion ring’ bokeh – such an appearance of the circles in some situations might annoy your aesthetics sense.
