9. Ghosting and flares
The photos below prove clearly that the performance against bright light of the tested Sigma is far from perfect and the problems get more and more serious as you increase the focal length and stop down the aperture.
In order to defend the lens a bit you should notice that light artifacts are seen mostly when the sun is inside the frame; if you move it outside the number of flairs and artifacts decrease sharply, sometimes even disappearing completely.
