9. Ghosting and flares

The Zeiss Batis 2/25 performs well against bright light. At the maximum relative aperture it would be difficult to notice any ghosting or light artefacts and the overall contrast of photos is good. The situation looks slightly worse on more significant stopping down – you can notice some reflections and, when the sun is situated in a specific place outside the frame a white flare appears which might be rather bothersome. Still it’s enough you move the camera slightly and it vanishes completely. Despite that flaw the overall assessment of the lens in this category is good.
