Fujifilm Fujinon XF 23 mm f/2 R WR
10. Autofocus
We don’t have any reservations concerning the accuracy of the mechanism. In studio conditions the number of misses didn’t exceed 1% and we didn’t notice any problem when shooting outdoor either.
When you look at the photo below it might seem that the depth of field is shifted a bit toward the longer end but it is difficult to draw any binding conclusions. Optical aberrations which worsen the image quality by f/2.0 are so significant that, combined with the curvature of the field, they might cause a bit of back focus. In fact the center of the testing chart is sharp and when even at the minimum focusing distance the depth of field contains the target there should be no problem in photos taken from greater distances.
