Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 30 mm f/3.5 Macro

10. Autofocus

The autofocus of the tested lens woks silently and is very quick, no matter whether you attach the device to the E-M5 Mark II or to the E-PL1. Running through the whole distance scale and confirming the focus takes no longer than 0.3 of a second – it’s an excellent result.

When it comes to accuracy you can describe the performance of the lens in superlatives only. In studio conditions it didn’t miss one single time. Additionally, when we tested it by taking sample shots we didn’t notice any problems with focusing either outside or inside.

Looking at photos below you can say at once that the Olympus 3.5/30 Macro didn’t have any front or back focus tendencies.
