Taking into account a very complex optical construction of the lens which includes a lot of movable elements inside the tube and a huge front element as well, we didn’t expect an excellent performance in this category. Still the lens managed to surprise us in a very positive way, especially at the wide angle where we experienced the least of problems. More significant flares might be observed at bigger focal lengths but, with such settings, it is rare to position the sun close to the frame corners and, by doing so, register unwanted light artifacts.
