10. Autofocus

The autofocus of the tested lens is very fast and silent. No matter what focal length you employ and from what direction you start, running through the whole distance range and confirming the focus takes about 0.2-0.3 of a second. It is a splendid result.

A significant depth of field, stemming from the parameters of the tested lens, didn’t allow us to notice any significant misfocuses. It concerns both the outdoor and studio sessions. I suppose you might be reasonably sure that the autofocus won’t ruin even the smallest part of your shots so a comfortable, hassle-free performance is practically guaranteed.

The tested lens didn’t have any front or back focus tendencies but, while attached to the Olympus E-M5 Mark II, we could notice a slight depth of field shift toward the longer end of the focal lengths spectrum.
