Pros:

Very solid, metal barrel,
Sensational image quality in the frame centre,
Very good image quality on the edge of the APS-C sensor,
Good image quality on the edge of full frame,
Negligible longitudinal chromatic aberration,
Slight lateral chromatic aberration,
Lack of problems with spherical aberration,
Practically zero distortion,
Moderate coma,
Low astigmatism,
Sensibly smooth out-of-focus areas,
Good performance against bright light.

Cons:

Too high vignetting on full frame.

A high build quality, breaking resolution records and almost complete lack of any flaws – could you ask for more? There’s no need to wax eloquent, the Voigtlander Apo- Lanthar 65 mm f/2 Aspherical 1:2 Macro is undoubtedly an excellent and completely recommendable lens.
