At the maximum relative aperture the vignetting is perfectly visible, amounting to 31% (−1.09 EV). By f/4.0 it decreases to 20% (−0.63 EV), and by f/5.6 it becomes practically imperceptible, diminishing to 10% (−0.29 EV).

The Fujifilm system corrects the vignetting on JPEGs so only an analysis of RAW files can reveal the truth about the performance in this category. Appropriate thumbnails are shown below.

In this case the vignetting is keenly felt. At the maximum relative aperture the tested lens loses as much as 45% (−1.74 EV) of light in the frame corners. The aberration decreases to 26% (−0.86 EV) by f/4.0 and to 11% (−0.33 EV) by f/5.6. By f/8.0 the problem disappears completely as the vignetting level at that point is just 4% (−0.11 EV).
