The results of the Sony FE 85 mm f/1.8 are, within the margin of error, very similar to those of older 1.8/85 models but they also resemble the results of the newer, stabilized Tamron 1.8/85 VC or the faster brother of the tested lens, the Sony FE 85 mm f/1.4 GM. All these values are distinctly lower than 1 in terms of absolute values so distortion in such constructions is practically not a problem at all.
