Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values, amounted to 5.0% and can be described as low. It is, at the same time, a result a bit better than that of the Sony which in this category amounted to 8.6%.

When it comes to blurry areas, it would be difficult to complain. Defocused circles of light look nice indeed, with smooth, even light layout inside. Still a distinct influence of mechanical vignetting should be noticed as it remains visible even by f/3.5. However, the level reached by the Viltrox is a tad better than that of the Sony which performed exceptionally weak in this test category.
