10. Autofocus

The autofocus of the tested lens, when joined with the Nikon Z7, is practically noiseless. The speed we found quite sensible – running through the whole distance scale and confirming the focus takes about 0.5-0.6 of a second, no matter from what end you start.

A significant depth of field, offered with this angle of view, makes the task of the autofocus a tad more easier, masking potential mistakes. Fortunately, in this case, there was really nothing to mask. The autofocus mechanism during our testing sessions was very accurate both outside and in the studio.

We also didn't experience any problems with front or back focus tendencies and the lens didn't need any AF microcalibration from the camera menu level.
