Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values, amounted to 12.7% and we consider it to be a medium level. We think in this category you could expect a tad better results.

Out-of-focus images are decent but certainly they cannot be called very nice. Aspherical elements inside the lens mean that you can notice a distinct trace of onion-ring bokeh. Fortunately the lighter rim around the circles is not especially bothersome. Mechanical vignetting makes itself felt for a change but, with such small dimensions of the lens, it was quite predictable. Circles are strongly truncated in frame corners at the maximum relative aperture and that effect remains visible even on stopping down the lens by 2 EV.
