Sigma C 35 mm f/2 DG DN
10. Autofocus
After the change of the lens and the camera versions noise generated by its focusing mechanism remained the same. Still we should rather write lack of noise – the autofocus of the tested lens is very silent and it performs very well, no reservations here.
You also can't complain about the speed of the mechanism – it's perhaps nothing mind-blowing but you can't call it slow either. Running through the whole range and confirming the focus takes about one half of a second; the lens is a tad slower going toward the minimum focusing distance than going to infinity but differences seem to be cosmetic.

When it comes to the accuracy of the mechanism we found it good but not splendid. Sometimes the lens missed in a quite unexpected moment even though the scene was properly lit and contrasted. Luckily such situations didn't happen often.
We didn't observe any distinct front or back focus tendencies.
