The Voigtlander Apo Lanthar 2/50 is a manual lens so you change the focus with the help of a special ring, 30 mm wide. The middle section of this ring is covered by thick ribbing with comfortable indents for fingers and a scallop ideal for grip. Below the ribbing you can find a distance scale expressed in feet and meters. The ring moves evenly and is properly damped. The focus throw amounts to an angle of about 150 degrees, a quite significant value, allowing you full comfort of movement.
Practice shows that the Voigtlander is a joy to use; we think that a photographer with some manual lens experience shouldn't encounter any problems.
