Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values, amounted to 5.9%, a value that can be described as low. In this area the Nikkor fares a bit better than in the case of coma.

Aspherical elements, present in the optical construction of the Nikkor Z 2/40, make themselves felt a bit so the light spread in defocused circles is not perfectly smooth. Still, it would be difficult to spot any distinct extreme points and you have to look very closely to notice onion-ring bokeh structure at all. A brighter rim is a bit pronounced but you don't have any serious problems with mechanical vignetting for a change.
