Sigma A 20 mm f/1.4 DG DN
1. Introduction
Another serious step forward in this class of equipment happened in September 2008 when Leica presented the Summilux-M 21 mm f/1.4 ASPH lens. Its aperture fastness is better but the focal lenght also a bit longer so the bar was set a tad lower. After all, a reduction of the focal lenght by 1 mm makes the field of view narrower by almost three degrees.
We had to wait for the answer of Sigma till 2015, when the reflex camera A 20 mm f/1.4 DG HSM model was released.

A launch of a device completely dedicated for a mirrorless system had to wait till 8th August 2022 – on that day Sigma showed two very fast wide angle lenses, the 1.4/20 and the 1.4/24.
