When it comes to the performance against bright light the constructors of the Sony FE 20-70 mm f/4 G faced a really difficult task. After all you deal here with an optically complex zoom lens with truly unique parameters; a lens that, additionally, provides a field amounting to almost 100 degrees.
Taking into account the scale of difficulty we are very pleasantly surprised that Sony performed in this category really well. Of course you can catch unwanted reflexions with this lens, especially when the sun is situated close to the frame centre, but in most of cases light artifacts are few and far between, their intensity is low, sometimes you don't catch anything at all.
