Sigma A 28-45 mm f/1.8 DG DN
9. Ghosting and flares
Still looking at photos below you have to admit that they managed to deal with it surprisingly well. The surprise is even greater that the smallest reflections can be caught in the 28-35 mm range and the biggest ones – at the maximum focal length. It's a bit the other way round than we expected but such a performance is actually favourable because at the wide angle of view it's easier to position the source of bright light close to the frame corner. Taking care of these focal lengths means that the problems in this category will be rarer.
To sum up we are very pleasantly surprised by the performance of the new Sigma in this category. It wasn't perhaps ideal, especially at the 45 mm focal length, but, taking into account the scale of the problem, the final result should be considered satisfactory.
