Canon EF-S 17-85 mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
5. Chromatic aberration
At the 17 mm focal length, regardless of diaphragm, the aberration is at a very high level of 0.13 to 0.14%. The situation gets better at other focal lengths as soon as we stop down the lens to f/8.0. But even for the least unfortunate combination of 50 mm and f/32 diaphragm, the chromatic aberration is 0.06%, which is far from an acceptable 0.04% result.
