Canon EF-S 17-85 mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
8. Vignetting
The situation is definitely improving at the higher focal lengths, where at maximum aperture the light fall off in the corners of the frame ranges from 20 to 26%. At the 50 to 58 mm focal length it’s enough to stop down the lens by one to get the vignetting down to 10%. At 30 mm, similarly to 17 mm, stopping down the lens helps, but just a little bit, and in order to actually get to the 10% level we have to adjust the setting to f/16.
