Nikon Nikkor AF-S 50 mm f/1.4G
10. Autofocus
The new Nikkor is not a sharp-shooting fiend, though. In the studio, with plenty of light it sometimes missed. While working with Nikon D200, the error number was as high as 12%, with full-frame D3x – 10%.
When it comes to backfocus or frontfocus, there were no problems while working with D3x camera.
Although it has a feature to correct those aberrations, we didn’t have to use it because the cooperation with the lens was very smooth. To make matters worse in the case of D200, which doesn’t have such a feature as AF correction, we noticed a minimal tendency to backfocus.
