5. Chromatic aberration

Sigma 18-125 mm OS presents quite even behavior in terms of chromatic aberration. In the whole focal length and aperture range we have a medium level of this aberration. It won’t bother us too much in real-life pictures.

Sigma 18-125 mm f/3.8-5.6 DC OS HSM - Chromatic aberration

In this category Sigma, in comparison to the competitors, comes out well. Nikkor 18-105 mm VR has a little higher level of this aberration for 18-35 focal lengths, where it sometimes goes over 0.13% level. Sony 16-105 mm at end of focal lengths can reach the levels of 0.16-0.18%. What’s interesting, comparing to Sigma, Nikkor 18-135 mm comes out the best, with the levels of 0.12-0.13% at ends of the range, so a little higher than Sigma, but in the meantime in the middle of the range causes no troubles reaching results in the range of 0.03-0.07%.
