I do not hesitate to write it: testing such lenses is pure pleasure which starts when you take the lens out of its box and you look at it for the first time. You already know you deal with a very solid instrument. Pleasurable experience lasts when you take sample shots or photos of testing charts, with the lens always hitting where it supposed to and the measurements of one photo practically doesn’t change from the measurements of the second one. The tests is progressing smoothly, there are no problems, you don’t have to repeat any of the procedures, you don’t have to think of additional tests to verify some hypotheses. Fast, easy and nice...

Writing the summary is also a pleasant thing. The lens fares very well, the list of pros is long, the list of cons is very short and it includes less important positions. I am happy and the producer of the lens is happy as well. The readers in their comments will praise it, there will be no controversies, nobody will suggest we got a faulty specimen for the nth time. A complete and well-deserved idyll. On the one hand I would like to conduct more such tests. On the other hand if all lenses were so good, I would become unemployed pretty quickly. Still I am truly glad that, from time to time, I encounter a lens that can be assessed only positively in a review full of superlatives. The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 75 mm f/1.8 ED is undoubtedly such a lens.
