Tokina AT-X PRO FX SD 17-35 mm f/4 (IF)
6. Distortion
On full frame the distortion level is higher – for obvious reasons. Fortunately you have a chance to perceive it only at 17 mm focal length where you still have to tackle –3.64% barrel. Such a level is not exceptionally high because many zoom lenses near 17-18 mm focal length can feature distortion of even –5%, but certainly it might be noticed in photos. The problem decreases swiftly with the increase of the focal length. At 24 mm the barrel deformations diminish to –0.70% and then they change the sign and, at 35 mm focal length, you already deal with slight pincushion of 0.26%.
