When it comes to ghosting and flares the performance of the tested lens is perhaps not perfect but we would be simply dishonest if we criticized it a lot for it. You can catch flares, sometimes even when the source of light is situated far away from the frame, but the artifacts are never big. In most cases you deal with a small number of flares of medium or low intensity. In this category the Canon EF 24–105 mm f/3.5–5.6 IS STM performs noticeably better than the much more expensive Canon EF 24–70 mm f/4L IS USM.
