10. Focusing

To make manual focusing easier the Tokina offers you a comfortable focusing ring with a range of 150 degrees and a clear distance scale. The focusing is really efficient especially when joined with the focus peaking option, available in Sony cameras – the lens produces sharp images in practically every situation.

Tokina Fírin 20 mm f/2 FE MF - Focusing

Of course significant depth of field, provided by the tested lens due to its parameters, helps a lot. If you set the focus at 7 meters you can enjoy sharp images from 3.5 meters to infinity even at the maximum relative aperture,. When you stop down the aperture to f/2.8 and reset the focus to 5 meters the range of sharpness will stretch from about 2.5 meters to infinity.
