We also don’t have any reservations concerning the astigmatism correction. An average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values amounted to just 2.4% which we consider a very low level. The Fujinon and the Panaleica both fared weaker in this category, with a results of 5%.

The appearance of out-of-focus images generated by the tested lens is very pleasant indeed; it’s enough you glance at thumbnails with defocused light points we show below. The light spread is very even in them, without any distinct local extremes. On stopping down the aperture you can notice a slight rim on the edge of the circles but, what’s important, near f/2.5 images in the frame corner are almost the same as images from the frame centre.
