Sony FE 50 mm f/1.2 GM

9. Ghosting and flares

Overall the performance against bright light of the Sony FE 50 mm f/1.2 GM is good. We wouldn't criticize it at all if not for one case. On a more significant stopping down, there is one position of the source of bright light, right outside the frame corner, where you can catch a white flare that is able to overexpose the whole frame.

If you manage to avoid such a light position you will be fine – in all other cases it's really difficult to catch any ghosting or flares in photos and contrast of images also remains properly high.
