10. Autofocus

The autofocus of the Sony FE 2.5/50 G, joined with the Sony A7R III camera, is completely noiseless and quite quick. Running through the whole distance range and confirming the focus takes about 0.4-0.5 of a second, no matter from what end you start.

We also didn't find any reasons to criticize the accuracy of the focusing mechanism. In the majority of cases (98%) the lens set the focus where we wanted it to be set both in our studio and outside. There were sporadically some misses but nothing you would call dramatic.

We haven't observed any noticeable front or back focus tendency either
