9. Ghosting and flares

If you work with the lens fully open flares won't be very disturbing but it doesn't mean you won't see them at all. Light artifacts, fortunately not especially intensive, can be caught with the sun inside the frame but also when you move the sun quite far away from the corner of the field of view.

The situation gets noticeably worse on stopping down the aperture. Flares become more intensive and there are more of them. An especially bothersome beam of light appears when the source of bright light is situated almost exactly in the frame corner.

As you see, our assessment in this category cannot be positive.
