Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values, amounted to 5.8%. It's a value that can be described as low so here the Nikkor performs even better than in the case of coma.
Aspherical elements in the Nikkor's Z 2.8/28 construction don't make themselves felt almost at all. You have to take a really close look in order to notice very slight trace of onion-ring bokeh. Overall, defocused circles of light are really good for such parameters. Even mechanical vignetting is not a serious problem.
