Lens review

Sony E PZ 10-20 mm f/4 G

10. Autofocus

We attached the Sony PZ E 10–20 mm f/4 G to the mirrorless Sony ZV-E10 and such a set was really fast and quiet. Running through the whole distance range and confirming the focus took just about 0.2 of a second, a sensational value. Everything performed exceedingly well.

What's more, after passing to the Sony A7R III body with the APS-C mode the autofocus still fared as it should – it was noiseless and very quick.

A significant depth of field, offered by the tested lens, didn't make accuracy a huge challenge for the autofocus mechanism. We weren't especially surprised that the lens's accuracy was perfect no matter whether we worked in the studio or outside.

When it comes to front or back focus tendency there was nothing alarming – the lens always hit where it was supposed to.
