Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values, amounted to 5.5%. It's a value on the borderline between very low and low levels so in this cathegory the lens fares well again. It's worth mentioning the fact that this result is influenced the most by the maximum relative aperture; by f/2.0 and f/2.8 astigmatism amounts to practically zero.

Defocused circles of light look very well indeed. Light layout inside them is very even, without any local extreme points. You should also praise the way the lens reduces mechanical vignetting to a minimum already on stopping down the aperture by 1 EV.
