Fortunately the rest of optical categories wasn't forgotten and you have to say the Sigma fares there exceedingly well. Of course, in most of cases, it lost the duel with the outstanding Sony lens but you have to remember the Sigma is almost two times cheaper. What's more, it would be difficult to indicate any other lens which could threaten the Sigma's position. Overall, I don't doubt that, because of its price and excellent optical properties, the Sigma will find a lot of satisfied users.
