The appearance of out-of-focus images seems to be quite pleasing to the eye. Light spread inside the circles is even and onion-ring bokeh, despite using aspherical elements in the lens, just slightly visible. Mechanical vignetting makes itself felt by f/1.4 and f/2.0 but, fortunately, it disappears on stopping down the aperture by 2 EV.
