One glance at the pros and cons lists and you know that our verdict will be fast and rather unambiguous. I like the Sigma C 50 mm f/2 DG DN far more than its faster Art line brother. In my opinion, if you look for a standard lens for mirrorless cameras it is definitely one of more interesting options. It's true that in some categories it lost a duel with the excellent Voigtlander Apo Lanthar 2/50 but its position is hardly hopeless as it has some strong points. A silent, efficient autofocus is one of them, its price, about $400 cheaper than the price of the Lanthar, is another.

When a lens has a long list of advantages and practically no serious flaws we award it our 'Editor's Choice' badge. Also in this case we have no doubts that the Sigma C 50 mm f/2 DG DN deserves that distinction.
