In this case there are no problems with vignetting whatsoever – it reaches just 21% (-0.67 EV) already at the maximum relative aperture and it disappears practically completely by f/2.8, where we got a result of 6% (-0.18 EV).

After passing to a bigger, full frame sensor, there are much more problems and our photos below show that pretty well.

At the maximum relative aperture the Sigma C 2/50 shows vignetting of 56% (-2.36 EV), a result slightly better than 59% reached by the rival Apo Lanthar. By f/2.8 this aberration decreases to 35% (-1.24 EV), and by f/4.0 it drops to 22% (-0.71 EV). By the f/5.6 and f/8.0 apertures we got, respectively, the following values: 15% (-0.46 EV), and 13% (-0.42 EV). Further stopping down of aperture didn't bring any measureable results.
