Such original constructions as the Tamron 35-105 mm always face a huge challenge when it comes to ensuring good performance against bright light. The constructors didn't manage to avoid all the problems here and they are especially pronounced on a bit stronger stopping down of the aperture. It also seems that there are more of them at the longer focal lengths.
Taking into account the fact that the bar was raised very high here the performance of the tested Tamron 35-105 mm in this category shouldn't be considered a serious flaw. It definitely deserves a moderately good assessment.
