The kit lenses that come with most DSLR cameras have focal length ranges starting from 17-18 mm and finishing at 55-70 mm. Most photo amateurs come to the conclusion that it is worth upgrading and getting a zoom lens. To meet the demand, designers have prepared many zoom class lenses whose focal length ranges start at 55-90 mm and finish at 200-300 mm.
