To be honest I wasn’t especially enthusiastic about the Nikkor 18-140 mm VR before the test. Its performance and its price made me change my mind, though. The lens complements nicely the line-up of other Nikon general-purpose lenses. If you don’t want to spend too much, you can always buy the cheap and plastic 18-105 mm VR; if you care about a bit wider focal range and a bit more solid piece of optics you should look at the 18-140 mm VR model more closely. If you can spend another 700 PLN more, you can purchase the Nikkor 18-200 mm VR – there’s a variety of choice available.

That good image is spoilt a bit only by those unnerving savings of Nikon. If you can sell the 18-105 mm VR model, two times cheaper, with a hood and a pouch why the more expensive 18-140 mm VR lens is offered with just the caps?
