Canon EF 100-400 mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM

24 June 2015

9. Ghosting and flares

The older version of the Canon 100–400L had a very painful slip-up in this category. The new Canon fares much better here but still its performance can hardly be called perfect. Certainly the complex optical construction and a large front element, not sheltered by anything, contribute to that result.
